Community Action prepares meals for Hands-on Hartford Soup Kitchen

March 29

The Community Action Committee will be bringing and preparing a meal for Hands-on Hartford Soup Kitchen on Monday, March 29th.  Most of the food is done as a “grab and go” but some people do choose to eat at the kitchen.  Due to COVID, it’s a smaller group than we had last year at this time.  Contact Linda Busch

7 meat lasagnas pre-cooked and served in a 9×12 disposable tin pan (can be store-bought – Stouffers makes a party size lasagna)


8 heads of lettuce (no bags of lettuce)

6 cucumbers

4 one pound bags of carrots

6 boxes of grape tomatoes

8 peppers

1 large bottle of Italian salad dressing

one large container of spreadable butter

6 trays (9 x 12) of plain brownies (no nuts or sprinkles) brownies need to be cut individually and wrapped in a bag or plastic wrap.

Food can be dropped off at my house Sunday afternoon (March 28) or Monday (March 29) by 3 pm.
