Dear Kehilat members and friends,
Just a few weeks ago, we announced hybrid in-person and Zoom High Holiday services in response to survey results indicating that many of you were eager to come together in person for the Holidays. The alarming spread of the Delta variant has dramatically changed the landscape. The High Holidays planning committee met tonight and all reported that many people who previously said that they would attend in-person services have changed their minds.
Due to these new circumstances, we will NOT have an option for in-person services at the JCC. (And the JCC requires indoor masking, as of today.). Our services will be Zoom-only, as they were last year.
The cost of services will be reduced to reflect lower expenses: $18 per household per holiday for members and $36 per household for nonmembers. We will refund the difference to you if you already registered and paid the higher cost ($25 per person per holiday for members, $40 per person per holiday for nonmembers).
We will not mail new registration forms, but we will email the new forms to you. The new forms will also be posted on the KC webpage, kehilatchaverim.org.
Thank you for your patience and support. We will reprise the wonderful Zoom services that everyone found so meaningful last year!
For the KC High Holiday planning committee,
Sue Garten, Marcie Schwartz, Ted Diesenhaus, Bob Abraham, Sharon Langer, Susan Kirshner-Robinson
