Since our first High Holiday services in 1979, it has been a Kehilat Chaverim tradition to invite our members and
friends to read a piece they have written about a deceased loved one during the Yizkor portion of our Yom Kippur
day service.

It has been 20 years since we published the first volume of
Fond Remembrances, a collection of memorial readings
read between 1979 and 1988.

INTRODUCING:  FOND REMEMBRANCES 1989 -2009
We are delighted to announce a new volume: Fond
Remembrances 1989-2009.
The 224-page, soft-cover book is
divided into six sections:  Our Members. Our Parents. Our
Spouses and Siblings. Our Grandparents, Aunts and
Uncles. Our Friends. The Many We Did Not Know.

The book contains 80 readings by 40 contributors. It also
has more than 100 photographs of the people who are
memorialized. Some of the images date back to the
beginning of the 20th century. These wonderful tributes
were moving when first delivered, and are even more
touching when read. Whether or not you have heard
them before, and whether or not you know any of the
writers or the subjects, we believe you will want a copy of
this keepsake.

This project has taken a year to complete, and we are
pleased to distribute a limited number of copies. For more
information, www.kehilatchaverim.org (860) 216-5216.
